18 Household Items You Never Knew Had Expiration Dates

            

When we go shopping for groceries, the first thing we usually do is check the expiration dates on the products we buy. However, there are certain items in our homes that to not have their expiration date written. This does not mean that they will last forever. Sometimes, even when they are in neat condition these common items can be harmful. Here are some of them.

BEDROOM
Pillows: 2-3 years
It is very important for the pillows to be changed regularly. Not only they lose the comfort ness, but also, they become an unbelievable home for dust mites.

Slippers: 6 months
The slippers need to be changed from time to time because they can spread fungal infections. Some types of slippers can be washed without them falling apart.

BATHROOM
Sponge: 2 weeks & Shower Pouf: 6 months.
Shower utensils can breed fungus and mold. Don’t use expired sponges and poufs to clean your body! For natural and synthetic shower poufs, boil them in hot water to kill growing bacteria.

Towel: 1-3 years
The towels lose their absorption power and if not washed regularly they are an optimal environment for bacteria growth. Make sure you change them at least every 3 years.

Toothbrush: 3 months
We all know we are supposed to replace our toothbrushes when the bristles begin to wear down. Furthermore, change your toothbrush after a flu or a virus. That way you will avoid getting sick again.

DRESSER
Hairbrush: 1 year
It is important to clean your brushes thoroughly at least once a week and replace them with new ones every year.

Perfume &, Eau de toilette: 1-3 years
Perfumes with essential oils can last for three years when they are store closed and two years when they are store opened. Eau de toilette is fine for four years when stored closed and two years when stored opened.

NURSERY
Latex pacifier must be replaced, regardless of their condition and how long they are used. Latex easily breaks, and the cracks breed germs.

Child car seats: 6-10 years
The plastic and foam deteriorate over time, losing the shape of the seat until it can no longer protect the child. It’s more ideal to buy a new car seat for your child instead of a second hand version.

WARDROBE
Bra: 1-2 years
Ask any woman and they are likely to admit that they hang on to their bras until the wire begins to pop out. But bra experts suggest that your lingerie should never celebrate a birthday and should be replaced regularly too. Elise Recour, General Manager for bra manufacturer Gossard: ‘This may sound extravagant, but if you are wearing a bra regularly, even if it’s high quality and you take good care of it, you will start to lose support and comfort, and the boost and uplift you bought it for will be substantially reduced after eight months or so.’

Running shoes: 1 year
After 250-300 miles, the cushioning of the sneaks begins to break down. However, your joints are experiencing unnecessary stress.

KITCHEN
Spices: 1-3 years
Spices lose their smell and taste over extended periods of time. Ground spices, in particular, should not be kept more than six months. So, if you find a large bottle of nutmeg that you never use, it’s a good time to pitch it.

Flour: 6-12 months
The best flour can only be stored for about a year.

PANTRY
Fire extinguishers: 15 years
Even though the expiration date is 15 years, make sure is yearly maintained.

Disinfectants: 3 months
The disinfectants start losing their effectiveness after three months of use.

Mosquito repellents: 2 years
After two years, any repellent becomes useless.

According to the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary TIME can be defined as what is measured in minutes, hours, days, etc. It can also mean a season or an indefinite period (usually marked by specific attributes or activities)

BUSINESS on the other hand can be defined as the activity of providing goods and services involving financial, commercial and industrial aspects usually for profit making.

It may be every cumbersome if not impossible for anyone to separate these two variables due to the intertwining nature of their existence. The cause of so many business failure may not necessarily be lack of managerial prowess by the managers of such business, but by their inability to manage a very essential aspect of the business know as TIME. Therefore the importance of time management in business operations cannot be overemphasized. Hence a critical look at some of the advantages of time management in business.

TIME MANAGEMENT EASES STRESS

When time is well managed, there will be every possibility for you to be stress free, reason being that you will be meticulous in apportioning time for every activity you may wish to engaged in. However, this will require a great level of discipline in terms of knowing the right time to stop a particular activity for the other, because time is never enough.

IT BOOST CUSTOMERS' CONFIDENCE

When your customers know that you are a time conscious person, they will automatically believe in your ability to deliver on your promises at any time. There is a popular slogan that says "TIME IS MONEY" of a truth that slogan is very correct. More customers to a business means an expansion of such business which will eventually brings increase in the profitability level of that business. For instance, you have about five places to deliver your goods or services, but due to improper time management skills, you were able to make delivery in three places at the end of the day, then you can imagine how much money you may have lost in the process. That will really tells you that TIME IS MONEY.

Every prospect to a business will be sceptical of patronage at the initial stage until the owner or the managers of such business proof to them that they are good managers of time before they can win their trust and be seen as people with integrity when it comes to time management. A man who cannot be truthful with time, may not be truthful in any other thing assigned to him.

IT KEEPS THE ACTIVITIES OF ANY BUSINESS IN CHECK

Every successful businesses today have their periodic projections, and the profit positions of such businesses in the next three months, six months, one year and five years etc can be clearly determined due to periodic performance review aimed at critically assessing the growth level of such businesses. This will boost productivity and enhance performances.

Show me a successful business manager or outfit, and I will show you a person who does not joke with time management. Time management is very essential in the operations of any business. Entrepreneurs, employers and employees alike should always discipline themselves to achieve a better turnaround in their businesses.

APPLICATION
life is a sequence bound by time. All investments, Activites, Successes, Failures, in the past, present, or future  are all time driven.
The Success nor Failure of yesterday or today is a function of what you invested your time to achieve.

One thing that The Almihghty God will require from each one of us will be what we did with the time he gave to us.

Time here could be relative as well as materialized or opportunities. God created you in His image and likeness and trusted you with time so that you will glorify His name!

Ecclesiastics Chapter 3 says

1To ev­ery thing there is a sea­son, and a time to ev­ery purpose under the heav­en:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gath­er stones togeth­er; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embrac­ing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep si­lence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9What prof­it hath he that wor­keth in that where­in he laboureth?

10I have seen the tra­vail, which God hath giv­en to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11He hath made ev­ery thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the be­ginning to the end.

CONCLUSION

Though there are other countless advantages relating to time management, but due to time and space constraints, we may have to transfer those ones to the next edition. In today's business environment, there is no such thing as "African Time" this is because Africa does not have a different clock from the universal clock standard and we cannot operate in isolation. If you are guilty of improper time management skills, then the time to make a decision is now. We must not be trapped or be found wanting when it comes to time management. This is the new way to go because THERE IS TIME FOR EVERYTHING.

JUDGEMENT

All men shall stand in Judgment before God. When you die you, you will be judged by God, you wil go to either heaven or hell to spend your eternity. There will be two sets of judgement; judgement for believers and unbelievers in christ Jesus.

Believers will be judged on the righteous throne of christ.

2cor 5:10

"For we must all appear before the judg­ment seat of Christ; that ev­ery one may receive the thingsdone in his body, accord­ing to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

Here in this judgement, rewards or crowns will be given based on your works on earth. Your works will be tested by fire and every thing you have been doing in secret will be made public.

1Cor. 4:1-5

1Let a man so account of us, as of the min­is­ters of Christ, and stew­ards of the

 mys­ter­ies of God.

2Moreover it is required in stew­ards, that a man be found faithful.

3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judg­ment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

4For I know noth­ing by my­self; yet am I not hereby jus­ti­fied: but he that jud­geth me is the Lord.

5Therefore judge noth­ing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of dark­ness, and will make man­i­fest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall ev­ery man have praise of God.

 These Rewards are:

*Crown of glory. 1Peter 5:1-4

*Crown of righteousnes. 2 timothy 4:8 

*Crown of rejoicing. 1Thessalonians 2:19,20

*Crown of incoruption.1Cor 9:25-27

*Crown of life. James 1:12, Revelations 2:10,1cor 3;13.

The second type of jugement is the White throne Judgement.
Here, people will be judge because they didn't believe in Christ Jesus, and their reward shall be in hell fire. Any one who appears for this judgement is doomed forever.

Rev 20:11-15,21:4-8.

11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heav­en fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and an­oth­er book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, accord­ing to their works.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell de­liv­ered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged ev­ery man accord­ing to their works.

14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the sec­ond death.

15And whosoev­er was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Rev. 21:4-8

4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nei­ther sorrow, nor crying, nei­ther shall there be any more pain: for the for­mer things are passed away.

5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Al­pha and Omega, the be­ginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the wa­ter of life freely.

7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8But the fearful, and unbe­lieving, and the abom­inable, and murderers, and whoremon­gers, and sor­cerers, and idol­aters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which bur­neth with fire and brim­stone: which is the sec­ond death.

In this life, those who are born twice will die once and those who are born once will die twice. It is either you bow to Jesus now or later. Live a life of forgivenes,live a life of righteousnes, Be an evangelist!!!

Contending with the Faith

Contending with the faith (promise): As christians, no matter the situation, God will always come to your rescue because you have a promise.

Heb 6:12-15.

12That ye be not slothful, but fol­lowers of them who through faith and pa­tience inherit the promises.

13For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by him­self,

14Saying, Surely bless­ing I will bless thee, and mul­ti­plying I will mul­ti­ply thee.

15And so, af­ter he had pa­tiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Your promise will be tried.
Gen 39:1

Holding on to God in the face of crises reveals his glory. It may tary, waite for it. there is a word for every situation of life. Look for that word. It is the key  for unlooking that door that seems closed.

SILENCING THE MOCKERY OF SICKNESS

To silence means to put to rest or to mute permanently, a subject of debate or contention. And mockery is making caricature of an person, object or thing.
Sickness is a state of illness, unwholeness and an impairment on a person.

An individual can be sick, A nation can be sick, A family can be sick, etc.

Everything that represents sickness in your family, business, generation and ministry, that has made a mockery of you,  today the Almighty God will put it to rest permanently in Jesus Name!

Sickness is an heinous mocker! It is a neutralized, it neutralizes allot he good things that men have gathered in life.

I pray for you, wherever sickness has destroyed ur reputation and success in life, it stops today ln Jesus Name!

Salvation is a total package,  including healing.

Jer . 30
16Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, ev­ery one of them, shall go into captiv­ity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

17For I will re­store health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Out­cast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh af­ter.

18Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captiv­ity of Jacob's tents, and have mer­cy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain af­ter the manner thereof.


2nd kings 5
1Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syr­ia, was a great man with his mas­ter, and hon­ourable, because by him the Lord had giv­en de­liv­erance unto Syr­ia: he was also a mighty man in val­our, but he was a lep­er.

Never allow ur position /situation in life determine your position in Christ Jesus. God is still in the business of healing.

Humility precedes honor . Naaman wanted to buy the healing cos he tot he had all things and could not wash in the filthy water. But for the little girl that was his Destiny helper.

2And the Syr­ians had gone out by compa­nies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a lit­tle maid; and she wait­ed on Naaman's wife.

3And she said unto her mis­tress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his le­p­rosy.

4And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.

5And the king of Syr­ia said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he de­parted, and took with him ten ta­l­ents of silver, and six thou­sand pieces of gold, and ten changes of rai­ment.


10And El­isha sent a mes­sen­ger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan sev­en times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.

11But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the lep­er.

12Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Dam­as­cus, better than all the wa­ters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.

13And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My fa­ther, if the prophet had bid theedo some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

14Then went he down, and dipped him­self sev­en times in Jordan, accord­ing to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a lit­tle child, and he was clean.

15And he returned to the man of God, he and all his compa­ny, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a bless­ing of thy servant.

When God healed naaman they was

1. A silencing of mockers
2. A resurrection and reawakening of life
3. A restoration
4. A renewal
5. A reconfiguration
6. A repackaging
7. A rebranding

MEN OF VALOR THINK OF THESE

Erection is a state of arousal of sexual desires in a man in preparation for sexual exploit.

Having an erection is natural but obeying the dictates of your erection is a choice.

For every erection, there's a responsibility. Wise men have control over their erection but foolish men obey their erections.

Any erection not properly controlled is capable of leading one to early grave.

Unsolicited erection is no respecter of persons.

Anointing, righteousness, strength, age etc has no power over erection, only self-control and self discipline can curb an erection.

Many became useless fathers because they didn't control their erections.

Some are in prison because they followed the dictates of their stupid erection.

Others have lost great opportunities in life because their erection pushed them.

Some are bed-ridden at the altar of uncontrollable erection.

The stupidity of erection is that most times it isn't selective.

Unchecked erection has led great kings to be at the bed of their slaves and maids.

Stupid erection has led some to sleeping with their blood sisters.

Erection has not left the clergy out of the drama as many have been found messing up with those they ought to be Shepherd over. What a stupid erection!

 strong man is not measured by the level of his physical muscle or by the number of nations he has conquered but by his ability to control his erection.

No man in history could be said to be more powerful than Samson yet his erection made him the weakest in history, his erection made him fall at the lap of a woman.

David killed Goliath and conquered many great nations but he couldn't conquer his erection, he became weak at the sight of Bathsheba, the wife of his servant.

Reuben ruined his future and generation after him because of his uncontrollable erection.

Don't let your erection destroy your destiny!

Your erection is a sign you are a real man but following it to everywhere it leads you is a sign of weakness.

Any man who cannot control his erection can't control his life.

The only time your erection cannot mislead you is when you use it within the confines of your marriage.

Stop following your erection, follow your vision.
Unto Him who is able to keep us from falling I commit each and everyone of us we shall all finish well and finish strong in Jesus name.
